Our Emergency Department is located in central Omaha NE and sees a variety of patients. We have a fast track unit that the ARNPs and PAs see patients in when census dictates.

Holistic and Integrative Public Health Coaching in Ambulatory Community setting via Telehealth Delivery.

Nurses will act as instruments of healing to prevent early mortality or increased morbidity by conducting Individual and group coaching with vulnerable Tertiary prevention public health populations. Population is vulnerable and are often "at the end of their rope" turning to holistic and complementary alternative modalities due to failure of the Western medical system. Nurses will learn basic nurse coaching skills including motivational interviewing, appreciative inquiry and the application of Integral Theory, in particular the 4 Quadrants of Being. Nurses will learn to apply the 6 step holistic nursing process to guide multidimensional whole being care within a public health context. Goals of preceptorship include realtime application of Holistic Theoretical Models in Clinical Public Health Community Practice. Nurses will gain knowledge in Public Health, Holistic Nursing and Nurse Coaching models and have opportunity to model integration of knowledge into a holistic public health nurse coaching practice within the context of the preceptorship.

Mental health private practice

Private practice offers in office and telehealth appointments.

Virtual nurse coaching and holistic preceptorship for holistic board certification. Licensed in 30 states via the Nurse Compact. Location is unimportant.

Nurses will be able to gain 60 hours of preceptorship for holistic nursing board certification, if interested. Available for Capstone projects or independant clinical nursing preceptorship. Offering basic holistic nursing education in an integral nursing practice. For 60 hours of holistic nurse coaching credit nurses must provide coaching to 10 clients with 3 follow up sessions. Nurses will learn: Transpersonal Holistic Assessment Holistic Nursing Process Integral Nursing Process and Integral Theory Transpersonal Change Theory The Basics of Nurse Coaching - Appreciative Inquiry - Motivational Interviewing -Theory of Integral Nurse Coaching In my practice, I encourage nurses to employ traditional healing practices from family and culture, to enrich nursing and innovate nursing practice.

I have practice primarily in mental health and post acute care. Most recently I retired after serving as CNO and Director of a Rehabilitation Program. I currently teach and sub at a local schoo. I have history of being the CEO of a small hospital as well. I al very involved in advocacy for nurses. I have met with legislators at a State as well as National level.

I woudl be open to mentoring a nurse. Meeting monthly.

Critical Access Hospital ED, Med/Surg, Peds, PACU, Post-op

I have been a nurse since 1995. My roles have ranged from supervisory to Clinical Educator.

1. Home care for aging adults, chronically ill and disabled community members. 2. Occupational nursing for multiple businesses throughout SD. 3. Assisted Living for behavioral health clients. 4. Pediatric patient care with complex care needs. 5. Nurse management role for staff coordination.

ADN & LPN Nurse Educator and Clinical Coordinator; Experiences available include flipped classroom theory lectures, nursing skills labs, varying levels of nursing simulation (first through fourth/final semester), and clinical practice in acute care and long term care.

This preceptorship would be conducted with Mid-Plains Community College in cooperation with the Nursing Program and participating clinical partners.

Teaching others to grow and eat nutrient-dense, organic food is in accordance with the 2008 American Nurses Association resolution for nurses to serve as role models and educators by participating in and promoting nutritious foods from sustainable local food systems so as to improve eating habits, increase patient and public health, and support the long-term social, economic, and environmental well-being of workers, communities and global health.

In an era of increasing challenges for public health, nurses have the potential to make a dramatic difference. The practice of promoting and protecting the health of populations using knowledge from nursing, biology, social, and public health sciences is essential for primary illness prevention. Teaching others to grow and eat nutrient-dense, organic food is in accordance with the 2008 American Nurses Association resolution for nurses to serve as role models and educators by participating in and promoting nutritious foods from sustainable local food systems so as to improve eating habits, increase patient and public health, and support the long-term social, economic, and environmental well-being of workers, communities and global health.

I am currently obtaining my MSN in nurse education as well as a practicing RN. I also am teaching clinical groups in the KC area.
